Leading at a Distance -3 – Cultural Distance

“Leading at a Distance” is part of the daily experience of internationally operating organizations. In this third part of our series, we focus on cultural distance. How can an organization, and how can you as a manager deal with different cultural backgrounds present in your team?

Discover how you can pass from an approach that is based on knowledge about your own and foreign cultures, – an approach which we label here “being culture” – to an approach which we call “doing culture”. In doing culture cultural differences are subject of a continuous exchange and a driver for team cohesion and increased productivity. However. in doing culture teams also have to be aware of the danger of “culturalization”.

Discover what practical steps you can take in your leadership position.
